Jersey Contractors Brief Decription

Jersey Contractors and Assoc., INC. is a vibro shoring Contractor that has been in business for more then 30 years. JC&A conducts its business in the flowing states; New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. It is always the wish of JC&A to provide the best service possible for our clients which follows the quote from JC&A's President, "We are not perfect, but we strive for perfection." We are happy to go the extra mile and provide what can to get the job done. We travel far for work and work through rain and snow! Let us work together.

Business formed by Dan Ruga.

1990s
Company Shifts and Expands

1994
Dan Ruga passes away.

2005
Second Crane

In the beginnings of JC&A Dan and his sons were fully licensed UST Installers and Removers and would construct complete gas stations.

In the 1990s Shoring for UST Tank Installations took more of a primary scope of work for JC&A. Total vibro/shoring operations is what the business shifted to. Do to the shift JC&A purchased its first crane, a Warner Swasey 25ton truck crane. Also at this time JC&A became American Pile Driving(APE) first customer! and purchased JC&As and APEs first Vibro hammer.

In 1994 Dan Ruga passes away from a heart attack at the age of 55. His son James Ruga would then take on the business with the help of his brothers.

In 2005 the company continues to grow and purchases JCAs second crane, a Grove 65 ton.

2010
Jim's s oldest son joins JC&A

Jacob Ruga Jim's oldest son joins JC&A and helps Jim to continue growing the business and greatly helps JC&A to run more efficiently.

2016
Upgrades and more equipment

With the business focusing on vibro/sheet piling work JC&A purchases their second vibro hammer and power unit from Piling Vibro Equipment(PVE) In this same year JC&A would purchase their third crane a newer Grove 75ton hydraulic Truck crane.

2020
Jim's youngest son joins JCA

After 2 years as a mechanic Jim's youngest son Nicholas joins JC&A and quickly learns everything in the field and becoming an operator in just a few years.

2023
Three Excavators

In 2023 JC&A sees that the amounts of work in smaller and smaller sites calls for the need for excavators. With this need JC&A purchase their first excavator from Jesco, a John Deere 345G. In the next couple years they would purchase 2 more, a John Deere 245P and a 35P again for the need to work on smaller and smaller sites where a crane is not suitable.

2024-Present
Jim's 3rd son joins JCA.

In April of 2024 Jims second son, Alexander joins JC&A after working 7 years for a precast manufacturing company. With his experience in both production manufacturing and management Alex continues to help manage the business for efficiency and easily fills any role in need both in the field and office.

JC&A is a small family run business and strives to do the best it can on every job that they work on. Through hard work and dedication JC&A has been able to grow we is eternally grateful to our God in Heaven Above.
